Below are some photos of Lizzie B and Nemesis, a Mariah 27 from Long Island Sound (the photos come from a website where the boat was listed for sale). There are a few minor differences between the boats. Lizzie B has an inboard engine while Nemesis has an outboard (notice the outboard bracket on the port side of the transom). Lizzie B is set up for simple "floating" jib leads for both the #1 and #2 genoas while Nemesis has a more complicated transverse car system just for the #1 genoa. Lizzie B has her check stays going through the cabin top to be adjusted from the cockpit while Nemesis has a more traditional system on the cabin top. The system on Lizzie B is much cleaner and allows adjustment by the main trimmer, a much better system in our view. Lizzie B has a pair of compasses right in front of the helmsman. They can be uncomfortable to sit on but give the helmsman lots of information.
